Abstract

The global motherboard industry experienced a strong third quarter in terms of both shipment volume and value. Owing to brisk back-to-school demand and deferred demand from the second quarter due to expectations of CPU price cuts in the third quarter, worldwide motherboard shipment volume is estimated at 40.0 million units in the third quarter, representing growth of about 7.7% year-on-year.
